Job Description: Hyperbaric and Red Light Therapy Technician

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Hyperbaric and Red Light Therapy Technician to join our health and wellness facility. As a Hyperbaric and Red Light Therapy Technician, you will be responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen and red light therapy to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the process. Your expertise in operating and maintaining specialized equipment, as well as your ability to provide exceptional patient care, will contribute to the successful delivery of these advanced therapeutic modalities.

Responsibilities:

1. Client Check-in and Consultation:
- Greet clients and check them in for their appointments, ask questions about any changes. Recommend packages as suitable to their situation.
- Answer questions and provide information about sessions, potential benefits, and address general questions and concerns.

2. Equipment Administration:
-Undergo training for HBOT, red light therapy, and infrared sauna equipment. 
- Prepare the hyperbaric chamber. infrared sauna and red light therapy equipment prior to each session, ensuring they are clean, sanitized, and in optimal working condition.
- Safely and accurately administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy and red light therapy according to established protocols, monitoring clients closely for any adverse reactions.
- Maintain a calm and supportive environment during sessions, ensuring clients are comfortable and informed throughout the process.

3. Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain hyperbaric chambers, red light therapy and sauna equipment, and other related equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and facility protocols.
- Perform routine inspections and quality control checks on equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or deficiencies to the appropriate personnel for repair or replacement.

4. Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and treatment progress in electronic client records, adhering to confidentiality and privacy standards.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized records, including session logs, equipment maintenance logs, and incident reports.

5. Safety and Emergency Preparedness:
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Remain knowledgeable about emergency procedures and respond promptly and effectively to any medical emergencies or adverse events that may occur during treatment sessions.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Hyperbaric and Red Light Therapy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable. Or other medical or wellness experience.
- Knowledge of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and red light therapy principles, procedures, and equipment.
- Familiarity with record keeping.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, their families, and the clinic team.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and handle potential unexpected emergencies with professionalism and efficiency. We do not anticipate this being regular at all.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic client record systems.
